Annual General Meeting - Thursday November 10th 2011

The 17th Annual General Meeting of the Irish Association of Supported Employment that will be held in the Pegasus Suite at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin on Thursday November 10th at 10:00am.

Any Members interested in going forward to the National Executive Committee must agree with the aims and objectives of the organisation and become a Director of the Company. As a Director you will share the responsibility for the corporate governance of IASE Ltd in accordance with the Companies Act.

Elected members are required to participate in meetings of the executive, sub committees and regional branch activities throughout the year. Meetings usually take place monthly in either Athlone or Dublin.

If you wish to go forward to the committee please complete the profile and nomination form and return to IASE by Friday November 4th.

NATIONAL BEST PRACTICE AWARD 2011 - to be launched at AGM

Irish Association of Supported Employment (IASE) National Best Practice Award in Supported Employment is open to all members of IASE to apply. The overall national award recipient will be selected by an independent panel of judges and announced during the 2012 National Supported Employment Week.

The 2011 IASE National Best Practice Award in Supported Employment operates in four categories:-

IASE National Best Practice 2011 - Employee of the year 2011

IASE National Best Practice 2011 - Job Coach of the year 2011

IASE National Best Practice 2011 - Supported Employment Service of the Year 2011

IASE National Best Practice 2011 - Company Mentor of the Year 2011

The 2011 Awards will be launched at the AGM on November 10th 2011

 

NATIONAL SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT WEEK 2012

April 23rd - April 29th 2012

IASE National supported employment week will take place for the third time in Ireland from April 23rd to 29th 2012.  Supported Employment organisation , job seekers and employers will show case employment for people with disabilities through a variety of themed events, seminars and a national publicity campaign to raise awareness of employment for people with disabilities.

IASE NATIONAL 'JOB SHADOW INITIATIVE' 2012

Wednesday April 25th 2012

Following the tremendous success of the previous four years we look forward to the fifth annual Job Shadow initiative (JSI) in 2012.

Hundreds of Individuals with disabilities throughout Ireland will have the unique opportunity to shadow a workplace mentor (employee) as they go through a normal working day within hundreds of Employment sites/Companies across the Country.

THE PLANNING PROCESS

A survey is to identify priorities towards the compilation of the IASE strategic plan from 2011–2013 was undertaeken throughout May and June 2011. Results will be available soon.

IASE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2010

The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Irish Association of Supported Employment was held in the Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley, Dublin on Thursday November 25th at 5:00pm. The business of the AGM will covered the Chairpersons Report, Auditors Report and Regional Reports and Staff Reports.

The National Executive Committee elected for 2010/11 are as follows:-

Launch of European Tool Kit in Supported Employment by Dara Calleray TD, Minister for Labour Affairs

The Position Papers are designed to provide essential and relevant information for not only Supported Employment service provider but also for People with Disabilities, Parents/Careers, Employers and Policy Makers at local, national and international levels.

The Position Papers state the views of the EUSE on a wide range of Supported Employment topics and encourage us all to adhere to the strenghts and values of the complete Supported Employment model.

IASE Presented with European Award - Handinnov 2008

IASE received a European Award for innovative practices that empower young people with disabilities. The awards to IASE was given for work promoting employment for people with disabilities through supported employment awareness and the Job Shadow Initiative.
