Next Step is a Leonardo funded European partnership that commenced in 2013 to explore and assess inclusive approaches for improving the employability of persons with disabilities or other challenges that makes it difficult for them to obtain and retain employment in the open labour market.

The 21st Annual General Meeting of the Irish Association of Supported Employment will be held at The Ashling Hotel, Park Gate Street, Dublin 2 on Thursday September 24th at 2:30pm.

A new National Disability Strategy Implementation Plan was published in 2013 to continue to drive the agenda forward over the period 2013-2015. The Minister for New Communities, Culture, Equality and Drug Strategy, Mr. Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, T.D., chairs the National Disability Strategy Implementation Group which developed and maintains responsibility for the Plan.

IASE National Supported Employment Week highlights contribution made by people with disabilities in the workplace
Job Shadow Day, today, Wednesday 22nd April, will see over 600 individuals with a disability shadow a works place mentor at 500 employment sites throughout Ireland. The highlight of IASE National Supported Employment Week, Job Shadow Day promotes equal opportunities for people with disabilities through supported employment.
